Merge Rot is a fun and quirky merge game where you embark on a journey to build a “rotten kingdom” from slow, rotten, and degenerate products. With simple gameplay mechanics, cute and humorously “horrifying” graphics, the game is relaxing, addictive, and has a charming satire on modern society.

How to play Merge Rot

You start the game with a few basic products such as “faulty brain”, “vague idea”, or “rotten meme”. Flowers and match two similar items to create a new, higher-level version – the more fragmented, the more the item becomes… Snob and flying bird. As you do so, you gradually unlock a strange evolution: from a useless idea to a… super-rotten creature! Your goal is to merge continuously to achieve “unimaginable” levels of corruption.

Left mouse / Touch screen: Drag - drop - combine items
Space: Accelerate new creatures/items (if unlocked)
R: Replay (reset the game round or reputation)
Esc: Open the settings menu or pause

Upgrade the spawn rate and maximize the number of amount of items to combine faster
When the speed increases slowly, use Prestige mode to restart and become stronger
Remember the rotten level to enhance the synthesis strategy, avoid wasting space
